This isn't a hypothetical. It's happening in my home. The vessel of my Eureka Forbes AQUAGUARD SELECT SEDI FILTER ASF 1500 water softener has cracked and water is leaking. The service representative said the vessel needed replacement and quoted approximately ₹30,000.
