The warranty and the demand
Eureka Forbes warranty expired. The questions haven't.
I acknowledge that the warranty on my Eureka Forbes water softener expired on 12 January 2026. I am not pretending otherwise. I am asking Eureka Forbes to take the unit back and refund the purchase price as a goodwill resolution.
Warranty expiry 12 January 2026
Does an expired warranty make this any less disappointing?
A warranty expiry date does not make this experience any less disappointing, nor does it prevent Eureka Forbes from choosing to resolve an unusual product failure fairly.
I expect a premium brand to stand behind the customer experience, even when the simplest response is to point at an expiry date.
“The warranty may have an expiry date. Goodwill doesn't have to.”
A friend for life, it turns out, has a warranty period.
What am I asking Eureka Forbes for?
I'm not asking for another quotation. I'm asking for my money back.
I paid over ₹1.2 lakh for a premium Eureka Forbes water softener. The vessel has cracked, water is leaking, and I have been quoted approximately ₹30,000 for a replacement. I acknowledge that the warranty expired, but I am not willing to pay again to keep a product that failed like this.
- Refund the full purchase price of the water softener.
- Uninstall and remove the unit from my home at no cost to me.
- Do not ask me to pay approximately ₹30,000 for a replacement vessel.
- Respond to complaint CM-091026-79832696 with a clear resolution.
Refund it. Take it back.
I bought a water softener, not a recurring expense disguised as peace of mind. Eureka Forbes, you said friend for life. Please do the right thing.
