Eureka Forbes water softener review: a premium product, an increasingly premium relationship
I paid over ₹1.2 lakh for a Eureka Forbes Aquaguard water softener. The vessel has cracked, water is leaking, and I have been quoted approximately ₹30,000 for a replacement. Apparently, the purchase price was only the beginning of the relationship.
What does a Eureka Forbes water softener really cost?
| ₹1.2 lakh+ | What I paid Eureka Forbes for the Aquaguard water softener. |
|---|---|
| ₹30,000 | Approx. Quoted cost to replace the cracked vessel. |
| 25% | Approximate replacement cost against a ₹1.2 lakh benchmark. The purchase was over ₹1.2 lakh, so the real figure is slightly below 25%. |
Over ₹1.2 lakh to buy it. Approximately ₹30,000 to replace the failed vessel. What exactly did I think I was buying from Eureka Forbes, peace of mind?
A premium product should last. Shouldn't it?
A critical vessel has cracked and started leaking. This is not the experience I expected from a Eureka Forbes product costing over ₹1.2 lakh.
Is this what premium after-sales service looks like?
A ₹30,000 replacement quotation is not the customer experience I expected after investing over ₹1.2 lakh.

I bought a water softener. I did not sign up for a recurring vessel-replacement subscription.
